October 26, 2021 7pm EST Free Join the Maryland Council of Teachers of Mathematics as we launch our Maryland Math Authors series...a salute to local authors of quality math resources. We will launch our series on 10/26/21 with authors from the Math by the Book series, featuring Sue O'Connell. This virtual event will provide you with access to tools and ideas that will grow your understanding of equitable instructional practices that cultivate students as learners of mathematics. Registration is now closed. The MCTM Elementary Summer Academy is back this year with a focus on the pedagogy that supports the development of relational understanding, and the strategies that support the inclusion of manipulatives and differentiation in classroom instruction. Participants will engage in a variety of experiences related to the teaching of those standards that support Operations and Algebraic Thinking as well as Numbers and Operations -- Fractions.
