The Maryland Council of Teachers of Mathematics (MCTM) is pleased to announce that the 2019 Annual Mathematics Conference will be held on Friday, October 18, 2019 and return to Dundalk High School, in Baltimore, MD for a second year.
The theme for this year's conference is "What does your Why Equal? How does your Passion Translate?"
Our annual Call for Speakers to submit proposals to present has closed. Our program will offer a variety of session topics including content-focused sessions, instructional strategies, classroom assessment techniques, addressing the needs of learners, mathematics coaching and leadership for K-12 teachers as well as Math Educators from Maryland's Two- and Four-Year Colleges and Universities.
Annual Membership Meeting and Awards Banquet: The 2019 MCTM Annual Membership Meeting and Awards Banquet will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at 6:30pm at the Mt. Washington Conference Center in Baltimore, MD. The cost will be $60 per person.
Attending our Annual Conference provides education professionals the opportunity to personalize their professional development and is a good way for Maryland teachers evaluated under The Danielson Framework for Teaching to secure artifacts for Components 4d: Participating the the Professional Community, and 4e: Growing and Developing Professionally.
Conference Registration Information: Participants will also be able to register onsite at the conference for a fee of $70 (members and non-members). The fee for pre-service teachers to attend will be $15.
