The Maryland Council of Teachers of Mathematics (MCTM) is pleased to announce that the 2019 Annual Mathematics Conference will be held on Friday, October 18, 2019 and return to Dundalk High School, in Baltimore, MD for a second year.
The theme for this year's conference is "What does your Why Equal? How does your Passion Translate?"
Our annual Call for Speakers to submit proposals to present at our event is currently open. We look for a variety of session topics including content-focused sessions, instructional strategies, classroom assessment techniques, addressing the needs of learners, mathematics coaching and leadership for K-12 teachers as well as Math Educators from Maryland's Two- and Four-Year Colleges and Universities. Please share your expertise with others by clicking here to submit a proposal to speak at this year's event. A preview copy of the 2018 Conference Program is available for download below to allow you the opportunity to review proposals presented last year.
Attending our Annual Conference provides education professionals the opportunity to personalize their professional development and is a good way for Maryland teachers evaluated under The Danielson Framework for Teaching to secure artifacts for Components 4d: Participating the the Professional Community, and 4e: Growing and Developing Professionally.
